Was there any progress on this? Perhaps one should think about setting up an emulator, based on QEMU (http://wiki.qemu.org/). See e.g. http://www.aurel32.net/info/debian_arm_qemu.php It's of course less "authentic", but this is apparently how most ARM soft is developed, on emulators, that is.
