I support this move. In fact, the other posts here that mention the FSF,
Free Software Conservancy, etc, make me think that we should consider
ramping up the Sage Foundation and find out whether some formal
assocation with such a group would be useful.

But for now, getting UW to do the trademark stuff is a good idea.
