Dear all, Yesterday we had an instruction session of Sage at Sage Days 39 in Japan. At the instruction of installation, we had some trouble.
For Windows user, there exist images for virtual machine. Its guest OS is minimum, so it may not have Japanese fonts. # I am not sure because I usually use Linux. I prepared Sage Worksheet in Japanese Language, but all letters are shown as just boxes. A few years ago, the usage of the image for windows users is following; run only a notebook server on a virtual machine. run browser on Windows to access to the sever on virtual machine. But the usage was changed as follows; run a notebook server on a virtual machine run browser on the virtual machine automatically. This usage is good because browser will run automatically. But we cannot use Japanese language, and we cannot use Japanese key layout (if we do nothing). This seems a tall hurdle for Japanese beginners.
