Hi Volker,
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I don't quite understand what
you're suggesting that I do. It sounds like I can't remotely 'make'
sage because when I do, the cpu clocks are getting out of sync (what
does it mean that the host is throttled and why would it be?). I
think that the file server is a computer called Euclid. Are you
suggesting that I (or the admin) install Sage locally on Euclid rather
than remotely?

Next, you want me to install atlas and atlas-devel so that I can
change the directory that sage looks into for the atlas library? Will
this allow me to run sage on multiple computers at the same time (by
customizing each computer's installation of atlas?)? If this is the
case, how do I install multiple versions of sage and have it look in
different places for atlas if the atlas config file is being hosted
from just one location? Shouldn't I already have the atlas and atlas-
devel rpms since I downloaded sage from source? It seems like I would
need to configure more than just atlas to run on different computers
in the network. Is there anything else that I need to do?
