Hi As an aside, can I get a hold of the scripts that build the binaries available for download on sagemath.org and mirrors (for Ubuntu LTS only). As a first step to getting packaging skills and having a deb for people to install, I could try make a virtual debian package that contains the sage prebuilt, and untars it, sets permissions, and sets the SAGE_ROOT in the launch script.
