Hi,
I finished today the compilation of sage 4.8.alpha5 on my little ARM box.
Three problems occurred:
(1) flint, but ticket #10328 has a solution ;
(2) R-readline -- I'm running ubuntu, so it hurts ;
(3) singular, but ticket #12110 has a solution.
Of course, (2) makes the resulting sage broken, but I guess that is
because I got around the problem using the "remove some ...-dev
packages" trick instead of a better readline spkg. And in any case, it's
a distribution-specific problem, not an ARM one.
There is still hope that 4.8 will compile well (and run almost
correctly) on ARM.
