I've created a ticket for rewriting the conway polynomials spkg to not use ZODB: http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/12205 If somebody is going to work on this, please post to the ticket right before you start and/or this thread, since I *might* work on this later today if nobody else does.
