The upgrade to Python 2.7.2 (#9958) introduces a docbuild warning in a file untouched by the Python upgrade. So the reason for this docbuild warning (which is in a Cython file) must be because of a change in either Sphinx or Cython compiled with the new Python.
I created a ticket for this at #12085.
