I only restarted it after logging in and confirming that things were
still totally broken.
When I say I "restarted" sagenb.org, I mean that I ran the script
~/servers/restart_all,
which also kills a large number of rogue processes... in this case
many many rogue
processes, which are probably the source of the problem.
