suggest you just install a new sage from scratch (either download a
binary or manually build source code release) since doing this will
take a lot less human effort then debugging the specific problems you

I'll perhaps tweak sage-sage and sage-update a little; changing all
sage*.spkg's spkg-install files is another story.
