You are more than welcome to mirror Sage at GitHub. Also, as Sage uses
Mercurial, it's more logical to use bitbucket.org to mirror Sage as

There's no reason not to have both, other than the work, of course...
I think one big reason to mirror to github has to do with github
possibly having far more users (see
https://github.com/blog/865-github-dominates-the-forges, though they
don't compare to bitbucket there, so of course the conclusion about
bitbucket is unwarranted)
