I think the only sensible option is to set up the lists such that new
members posts get moderated. That's easy to do in Google groups. If
someone has a "disposable" email address such as gmail, hotmail etc,
then moderate them for 5 posts. If it is a university account, then do
it only once, as spam is far less likely from such accounts.


Otherwise, what's to stop him joining next week under another account?
