Moving to the new location was quite fast and started work straight away. I 
only moved
into a house of my own on Monday but I don't have internet at home yet.

I have been able to read various mailing list - but not much more than comment 
- 
for the last 2 weeks. Still have stuff to set up though.

Regarding sage-on-gentoo/prefix a major difference with "plain" sage is that we
have to gmp rather than mpir. Using mpir is a major problem for us for various 
reasons.
I can expand at a later stage if you want - it is technical rather than 
philosophical.

If you have any problem with getting sage on prefix working please send me and 
Christopher a note and we'll work on it.  Doing work on x86-macos at the moment
I am seeing a few problems that needs fixing.
