Hi,

i built a new Live CD version from Sage 4.6.

I am currently uploading to

boxen.math.washington.edu/home/emil/sagelive/sagelive-511-46.iso

The iso is based on Ubuntu binaries and it is just 580 MB.

It can be used as classical Live CD, but it is also possible to make
very easy USB installs (e.g. using UNETBOOTIN). Also small "frugal
installs" on existing Linux or Windows partitions (don't influence
existing system) are possible - boot them using a bootloader like
grub.

It includes sage with jsmathfonts, lotsof drivers for different
hardware and full set of applications (browser, email ,
spreadsheet ...)

Changes since previous version :
Change from T2 binaries to Ubuntu binaries (puppy linux 431 to puppy
linux 511 quickset edition)
FAT_BINARIES support for older proccessors should work now.
Improved startup, boots direct to gui, no textbased setup menus.
Basic localisation (english, french, german, some spanish) available.
possibility to use ubuntu repos for additional packages
removed Lyx, Texmacs, latex, Octave and other stuff, so the iso is
smaller.
New Looks - hope you like it.

With integrated Package manager it can be easily extended. It is e.g.
possible to get open office or a complete development and compile
environment with the addition of the lupu_devx_511.sfs from
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/puppy-5.1.1/

I tested it in virtual machine down to 768 MB RAM. Feedback,is
appreciated.
