I don't know whether this will help you at all, but thought I'd mention
it:  the patch for implementing Siegel modular forms at

     http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/8701

has passing TestSuite doctests for a couple of classes.  It's not a
great example since you have to wade through 120KB of code, but maybe it
can help.
