I've tried to install all the optional packages on Solaris 10 (SPARC) using sage-4.3.4.alpha1.

I keep getting this error message.

Could not find a version for ace-5.0.p0.

This is for the package ace-5.0.p0, but the same problem occurs for all optional packages, with the exception of 'valgrind' which does actually download on Solaris, though it will not build.

I'm a bit tied up today, but does anyone know where I might start looking for this? If not, I'll hunt around tonight. The only options to grep permitted by POSIX, and so therefore can be considered portable, are listed at
