Oops. I just looked at the ticket more carefully and noticed that you are describing a fix. Nevertheless, "Author(s)" is normally filled in when there is a patch up -- so if somebody else incorporates your fix in a patch and adds doctests, etc., then both you and this person would be listed as authors.
