Hi folks, David Kirkby has suspected that ticket #6583 would break the build of Sage on t2.math. I think I can now demonstrate that this is indeed the case. Starting with Sage 4.3, at David's suggestion I created Sage 4.3.0.1 [1] with only #6595 applied. I then created six alpha releases named Sage 4.3.0.2.alphaX [2] based on Sage 4.3.0.1. These are as follows, with the order in which tickets were merged:
* sage-4.3.0.2.alpha0: #6425, #6772, #7799, #7775, #7772 * sage-4.3.0.2.alpha1: #7770, #7692, #7749, #7768, #7728 * sage-4.3.0.2.alpha2: #7704, #7548, #7616, #7754, #7620 * sage-4.3.0.2.alpha3: #5174, #1321, #6820, #6965 * sage-4.3.0.2.alpha4: #7482, #7724, #7678, #7388, #7483 * sage-4.3.0.2.alpha5: #7514, #7097, #7279, #7834 As you can see, sage-4.3.0.2.alpha0 is based on sage-4.3.0.1, while sage-4.3.0.2.alpha1 is based on sage-4.3.0.2.alpha0. And so on. Each of the above six alpha releases successfully builds on t2.math. Next, I created sage-4.3.0.2.alpha5-6583.tar [3], which is based on Sage 4.3.0.2.alpha5 and only merged ticket #6583. This alpha release failed to build.
