This might be related to William's Sage "Grand Tour" [1] from June
2009. That tour lists many possible projects for enhancing any one of
the 39 or so modules of Sage. A write-up of the "Grand Tour" is
available [2] that served as a talk for undergraduate students.
Perhaps that tour could now be updated and we set up a wiki page or
something to list possible projects for undergraduate and/or graduate
students.
This student project web page is also great fodder for summer of code
projects!
