By the way, regarding this whole thread, I was reading some articles about the relation between the iPhone and Android phones, and how Apple controls their platform, whereas Google doesn't, and it occurred to me that the way we distribute Sage is similar -- we control as much as we can of the platform, by building the almost the entire stack from source in a self-contained location.
