Sage-4.2 builds from source no problem with 10.6.1 and GCC 4.2.1 on all my test machines, and we've had no reported build failures until yours now. Some tests related to symbolics and pynac fail, e.g., factorial(factorial(x)). You can run a 32-bit OS X 10.5 binary of sage on 10.6.1 and it will pass all tests. > Nevertheless, I thought one of the goals was 10.6 > support, so hoped this would work. It was. However, we all became utterly and completely stumped and evidently for now totally gave up. So 10.6 is still not 100% supported. -- William > I just downloaded sage-4.2.tar to my desktop machine > and compilation fails in the singular package (see below). > I don't seem to have succeeded in compiling sage-4.1.2 > on any MacOS 10.6 desktop although it seems to have > compiled on my 10.6 laptop.
