I'm not sure this is necessary.  I know Solaris tar is fairly badly broken
but the BSD tar can do anything GNU tar can do - the only "issue" I've run
into is that the output from '-t' and '-v' are somewhat different (which
is a nuisance when trying to compare build logs between Linux and FreeBSD).

I can't think of any for FreeBSD.
