Dear sage-devel,
I seem to remember some recent discussion of putting the double colon
on a separate line to ensure doctests actually are tested in certain
files, but I don't recall a definitive answer to *exactly* when it is
and isn't necessary. I know that in a recent __init__ file I was
working on, it turned out to be necessary, but certainly in lots of
others it isn't. Can someone either state, or link to a statement, of
this for me and future searchers about this policy? Thanks!
