Why don't you continue the build by typing cd SAGE_ROOT touch spkg/installed/python-2.6.2.p1 make This will tell it the Python build worked, and try to build the rest of Sage. The Python build did actually work, but the test of importing the hashlib module doesn't work because there is something unusual about the crypto libs in your setup of Linux.
