Hi Sage-Devel,

Is anybody going to MathFest? If so, write to Nathan Carter below.

Dear William,

I got your email address from the SAGE website, as the contact person
for general inquiries about SAGE.  I'm writing because I'd like to
meet with any of the SAGE project managers at the upcoming MathFest,
for two reasons.

The first is that I'd like some advice.  SAGE is a successful Open
Source math software project that has grown very quickly.  I'm the PI
on a nascent math OSS project and would like to know what advice the
SAGE team (especially those who have been working on SAGE the longest)
can give, most particularly about growing/managing a user community.

The second reason is that I think some of the work on our project may
be beneficial to yours.  One thing SAGE lacks is that it is not a
native GUI application available for all platforms.  We have been
using Qt in our project, and have had to deal with issues of
integrating web views, jsMath, etc. in a native, cross-platform way,
and some of our experiences might be helpful.

Is there anyone going to MathFest who would be interested in sitting
down for a half hour or so and talking these two things over with my
collaborator and I?  If no SAGE folks will be at MathFest, perhaps the
Joint Meetings is a better venue, but I'm not thinking that far ahead
yet!

Thank you for your time.
