Hi again. Unfortunately it failed again, but this time with a different error message. Here's what it does now:
... checking for gtar... no checking for tar... tar checking for gpatch... no checking for patch... no configure: error: FriCAS needs a patch program *********************************************************** Failed to configure FriCAS. *********************************************************** real 0m...etc. ... I guess I'm missing something else now.
