I think that Solaris statement is a bit optimistic!
* Sage does not build on 't2'
* It's never passed all doctests
* I've built it on my home machine, but the GUI did not work.
I suggest changing that README.txt to having a 'README-Solaris.txt'.
Some time ago I opened a trac ticket
http://sagetrac.org/sage_trac/ticket/6057
to request a readme specifically for Solaris, as I felt more information
was needed about exactly what the status was. But that trac ticket was
closed with '(closed defect: wontfix)'
