No further code goes into 4.0.2 except critical bugfixes needed to make that release (which right now I think means fixing some itanium issues). Consequently, #6307 won't bitrot, since nothing is being put into 4.0.2 to make it bitrot. The sage-4.0.3 release can start with merging in #6307. Putting together sage-4.0.3 can start as soon as somebody volunteers to start putting together the release.
