Hello, I would be proud to represent Slackware Linux as far as packaging goes. I think the pervasiveness of Mathematica makes Sage availability a high (huge!) priority.
My rationale: In particular I'd like to show my advisor that there are alternatives to Mathematica. Until proper packaging is available for Slackware, though, I have less weight to my argument. My point is to convince her that _I_ can get good results without using Mathematica, not necessarily to convert her. First of all, are there other Slackware users already here?
