I will almost certainly do this as part of the windows port. To have the Sage notebook fully running natively on Windows would be very impressive, and it would be massively easier to do that if I don't have to port 100% of Sage over! In fact, windows-sage-0-3 on windows.sagemath.org already has all the dependencies for the notebook in it...
