Hi William,

Perhaps if there is a will there is a way.

Let me explain my interest in Sage and the Sage-Maple interface.
(I am sorry if this belongs in the sage-edu group.)

I teach the Computational Physics course at the University of Toronto.
It is Maple based and I have about 30 upper level students each year.

The cost of the Maple site license for the computer lab is not a big
issue,
and most students buy Maple as well through the Maple Adoption
Program.

But I am looking at Sage for two reasons.
1) Lower level students in our department are now being introduced to
VPython.
2) I am not a big fan of the Maple front end.

On the other hand the symbolic power of Maple in the areas of int,
solve, dsolve, pdsolve,
LinearAlgebra, VectorCalculus, and the Physics package is likely to
remain of
interest in any future Computational Physics course.

Thus my interest in just how tightly integrated Sage and Maple could
become.

(I have a few little Maple and Sage routines to transfer results from
Maple to Sage,
so that looks promising...)
