This was on sage-edu, and I thought lots of people here would be 
interested in a cool way to use PIL to do a Christmas tree-like figure.

This is awesome!  And another piece of evidence for including the PIL
library as standard.  By the way, I believe you can install PIL directly
into Sage fairly easily.

I'm forwarding this to sage-devel and sage-support since I think lots of 
people there will be interested in this code, but not see it on sage-edu.
