Hi all,

I was kind of burned out after my math final today, so I decided to
have some fun and create a new theme for the Sage notebook in line
with my current Firefox theme, PitchDark. Basically, I just identified
which rules determined which colors using Firebug, then played around
with things in the CSS file until I liked what I saw. A screenshot of
the theme is at
http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/elliottd/themes/dark-theme.png.
To apply it to your own notebook, copy
http://sage.math.washington.edu/home/elliottd/themes/notebook.css to
~/.sage/notebook.css (for example, /home/elliott/.sage/notebook.css)
on your computer and then refresh the Sage notebook.

What I would like to do now, though, is to get some other ideas for
cool themes, with the goal of making a sort of "theme switcher" for
the notebook, so that one could select between the default theme and
perhaps five or so others. So... does anyone else have ideas for what
would make a good notebook theme? I can also play around with the
layout itself, if someone has suggestions regarding that.

Elliott
