I completely agree, but the information should be somewhere easily accessible. I like the wiki interface first because I can edit it too :) but the guide is probably the best place for it to go. You say the wiki is unstructured, but I think it is only like that because we allow it. Wiki links allow for organization. Also, I like the wiki because of it's built-in search capabilities. Notice that python's docs now are generated with Sphinx, which has search capabilities. Anyway, feel free to migrate information. A central hub of information is important for any project that is complex enough (and Sage is).
