Okay, but this is strange. I changed the PATH to something stupid.
Then the make of course failed. Then I changed it back to the
original. Now make worked fine. Huh???

On top of that, I am getting odd behaviour from sage -testall (see
trac #4320), so I am relatively confused. I think the complications
go a bit over my limited brain capacity!
