Can we comment on the todo list?  Or is it still at the stage where 
people just need to get work done and not worry about lots of 
discussion?  If we can comment on the todo list, where should we comment 
on it?

For example, a very minor nitpick of mine is that var("x,y",ns=1) (the 
ns keyword) doesn't make very much sense.  I keep trying to remember the 
magic "ns" keyword.  Of course, when the new variables are default, that 
will go away, but that might be a little while longer.
