Oh.
Confirmed.
Now that I have clue what to look for ...
Shutting down everything else, I can achieve for e.g. the ".../
calculus/funtional.py" going through successful on this PPC box.
Opening a load of apps, I can make the very same doctest fail more
than once with "Maxima crashed -- automatically restarting."
In the ticket #3758 "crypto -- sage -t -long devel/sage/sage/crypto/mq/
sr.py fails on many machines" William mentions that the Sage "long"
test suite is supposed to be able to run through successfully on
computers equipped with not more than 768MB.
Is that still a valid target for future Sage development?
My PPC box has exactly this amount of RAM, so it would be a nice test
platform if this would continue to hold :-)
If not, well, then it doesn't make sense to add it to any oncoming
Sage testing cycles.
Cheers,
gsw
