That's brilliant, it works! Thanks, John. I successfully built tut ref and const (ref takes ages, but that's latex2html for you). I can now say for certain that the patch you put in #3728 is good, but Alex has already given it a positive review. At least I now know that I'll be able to review future documentation patches properly.
