Since your application is written in Python you don't have to do anything to translate it to Sage. I.e., any Python code can just be used in Sage. E.g., in the notebook if you put %python at the top of the cell, you can put pure python code in the rest of the cell. Sage is just the Python interpreter, a large library of math functionality, and a graphical user interface. If you're really serious about using the power of Sage in your application, you should install Sage and read through the "Sage tutorial" http://sagemath.org/doc/html/tut/ This should take about 3 hours.
