Hi, Here was a question that was just sent to the Magma mailing list. It's the sort of thing that could motivate what we implement in Sage. Are we going to implement tensor products in some generality soon? It keeps coming up. Maybe it's time to discuss this.

But again I would like to do something and do not know how: I have two rings and would like to work with elements in their tensor product. In Magma I just found the following functions to form tensor products of rings: TensorProduct(A, B) : AlgMat, AlgMat -> AlgMat TensorProduct(A, B) : AlgBas, AlgBas-> AlgBas TensorProduct(M, N) : ModGrp, ModGrp -> ModGrp So I suppose there are not any other methods to work with more general tensor products? Kind regards, Udo _____________________________________________________________________ Der WEB.DE SmartSurfer hilft bis zu 70% Ihrer Onlinekosten zu sparen! http://smartsurfer.web.de/?mc=100071&distributionid=000000000066 -- William Stein Associate Professor of Mathematics University of Washington http://wstein.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to sage-devel@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/sage-devel URLs: http://www.sagemath.org -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
