Hi, yesterday on IRC I realized I don't understand these terms. :)
x + x -> 2*x .... is this evaluation? x +y, vs. y+x ... is this canonicalization? Is this how everyone understands these terms? If so, we need to fix SymPy all over. :) Also I was mistaking canonize and canonicalize: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonization http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonicalization It'd be good if all of us use the same terms for the same thing. Also, Garry, how are you going to call the method/function, that does x+x-> 2*x, -- eval? We used to call it eval, now we call it canonize (which is completely wrong, see above), so I think we should switch back to eval.
