Would it be possible to restructure the SageMath project such that it becomes in the first place a python package? (A package that can be installed with pip in say the system's python.)
I believe that as a python package, sage would obtain a much wider user base. Have there been attempts in this direction? What would be the difficulties/bottlenecks/obstacles?
