If Sage did not install singular or mwrank in $SAGE_LOCAL/bin, these 
programs were available in your system, typically in /usr/bin or 
/usr/local/bin.

Could you clarify how you are using install_script, in particular into what 
directory you were hoping scripts to be installed, and for what use?
