That was entirely my point. If I cannot ssh to a machine any more and run some 
computation there in Sage then I'd disappointed. If there is another 
(graphical) interface to achieve the same (or better looking) then I have no 
objection. Another point: One of my main applications of Sage is writing 
programs in Sage, i.e. I use the Sage library as a library. AFAIK a Java 
applet won't benefit me there and thus I couldn't use that functionality in 
my code. For me Sage is definitely not a scientific calculator, though I 
often fire up Sage instead of e.g. 'bc' to to divide two floating point 
numbers :-)
