The trick is to locate the app. I know nothing about Maple, but for Mathematica, it should obey the "app rules". Of course, I don't know what they are either :-}, but at least I can try to track them down. FWIW, I see a very skanky way to do this, but it would just be wrong to that :-} I will see what I can dig up. In the meantime, on Mac OS X, does Maple install as "Maple.app", or is it a bunch of command-line programs tied together with scripts?
