I agree. We should also add some way to test this automatically. Two
[none-exclusive] options come to mind:
* install sage, move it to a random directory name, run a script with
known input that tests all [or at least many] executables in tree
* install sage and run a script for hard links and also files with
potential permission issues. Paul opened a ticket about the permission
issue a while ago and while I did fix some of them there are still
issues there.
