Any chance that some of this (the parts that don't explicitly depend
on the rest of Sage) might be contributed back to NetworkX?  Sometimes
it's handy to be able to use just one library outside of a Sage
environment, just within the system-installed python, so it would be
great if some of these enhancements were contributed back upstream to
the underlying base project (NetworkX in this case).
