I did!  In the end, I never was able to parse K.<x> = ... to my  
satisfaction, so I abandoned it.

I also used a parser combinator library that was pretty crufty and  
probably wasn't suitable for SAGE, and I wasn't in the mood to write  
my own combinator library.
