I think this points out a way in which SAGE is unique.  We are a  
community that *tests* other software packages.  SAGE developers  
uncover an enormous number of bugs in packages such as linbox, and  
provide a valuable sanity check for a huge part of the open-source  
mathematical software noosphere.
