Hi, I changed the install script in python-2.5.1.p3, replaced: ./configure --prefix="$SAGE_LOCAL" with ./configure --prefix="$SAGE_LOCAL" --enable-unicode=ucs4
build sage-2.8 with no problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- All tests passed! Total time for all tests: 1670.5 seconds Hopefully I now can use precompiled libraries using unicode=ucs4 as e.g. libboost_python.
